Want to try kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding this summer? Cleveland Metroparks is offering Try It sessions and tours off Whiskey Island. Beginner guests can experience kayaking and stand up paddleboarding during one-hour “Try-It” sessions near shore while more experienced paddlers can enjoy kayaking and stand up paddleboarding tours inside the inner harbor under the guidance of certified instructors. Whiskey Island Stand Up Paddlefest
The fifth annual Whiskey Island Paddlefest is a partnership of Cleveland Metroparks, Ultra Missions, the Foundry and Nalu SUP and Surf. Grab your stand-up paddleboard and register for the 6 mile elite race (3 laps), 2 mile challenge (1 lap), or a short kid's dynamic course. Beginners and advanced paddlers are welcome. Wendy Park Beach BBQ Party
Grab some grub and enjoy summer at the Wendy Park Beach BBQ Party sponsored by Whiskey Island Still & Eatery. The $20 entry includes a choice of barbecue chicken, pork or brisket served with baked beans or coleslaw, pop and water. A cash beer bar and a children's menu is available. Beach vibes will be provided by Cheeseburger In Paradise, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, and Mark Augustine's Steel Drum Band!

Whiskey Island Stand-up Paddlefest
