Sandusky named one of top fishing towns

On top of winning USA Today’s No. 1 coastal city contest, Sandusky has been named one of the top seven fishing spots in the Great Lakes.
Fishingbooker.com lauded the Lake Erie small town for its populous walley and perch, sheltered bay and ice fishing.
“If you haven’t tried ice fishing before, just know that there are few things as heart-pumping as catching fish on a gigantic body of frozen water for the first time,” Fishingbooker writes. “So if you’re up for an adventure, get your gear ready and suit up – your Walleye feast awaits.”
The reinvigorated downtown gets a nod, so do the islands and the largest motorcycle rally in the Midwest. Plus, of course, Cedar Point.
