If you’re lucky, you’ve got a long Columbus Day weekend to spend on Lake Erie. You might have to dodge some showers, especially Friday. But the days will be warm and waves will be light.

The water temperature is still warm, 67 off Toledo and 69 off Cleveland. 
 
I’m planning to take out my stand-up paddleboard, sans kids. What do you have planned for the weekend?
 
Friday: East wind around 10 knots. A slight chance of showers after 1 p.m. Waves 1 to 2 feet. High of 66 degrees.
 
Friday night: Southeast wind around 10 knots becoming south after midnight. A chance of showers, mainly after 2am. Waves around 1 foot. Low of 65 degrees.
 
Saturday: South wind 12 to 14 knots. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Waves 1 to 2 feet. High of 78.
 
Saturday night: Southwest wind 8 to 12 knots. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Waves around 1 foot. Low of 67.
 
Sunday: Southwest wind around 6 knots becoming variable and less than 5 knots in the afternoon. A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 8 a.m. Waves 1 to 2 feet. High of 76.
 
Sunday night: East-northeast wind around 7 knots becoming E after midnight. Partly cloudy. Waves 1 to 2 feet. Low of 67.
