Linwood Park Company was formed in 1883, by a group of Germans inspired by the Methodist Sunday School Assembly at Chautauqua, New York. Land was procured in Linwood Grove, a former picnic grove.
Now the enclave is home to cottages, a playground, private beach, the Stand store and restaurant and the Tabernacle.
You can rent cottages or come for a quick visit.
You can enter for free, for up to two hours. Gate fees for all day are $11 per person.
