Port Clinton New Year’s Eve Walleye Drop 2019

Who needs a glittery ball, or Times Square? Watch a 20-foot fiberglass Walleye drop at midnight in Port Clinton. The volunteer-run festivities for the first time include live entertainment beginning at 7 p.m. (dancing highly encouraged) and a Rock, Paper, Scissors championship. The fun begins at 4 p.m. with kids games, snacks and crafts and a mini Walleye Drop so you can get them to bed on time.

Get set for summer with the Progressive Cleveland Boat Show, at the I-X Center. Tour the latest boats, shop for boat gear enjoy live music and see what’s new in the boating world. The 2020 show features an expanded fishing area with a trout pond, plus theme days all five days of the show. Thursday: Noon – 9 p.m. Friday: Noon – 10 p.m. Saturday: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Wintry family fun on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, between the Great Lakes Science Center and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame + Museum. Ice displays are set up on the walk way between the Science Center, Rock Hall, Harbor Verandas and Nuevo Cleveland. In addition, the Great Lakes Science Center and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum will have free admission for the day. We’ll have crafts, hot cocoa, and swag giveaways.

Blazing Paddles Paddlefest 2020

The third annual Blazing Paddles celebrates the renaissance of the Cuyahoga River. Paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes will navigate either the 2-mile Carl Stokes Memorial, the 5.7-mile Ruth Patrick Memorial or 13 mile Rachel Carson Memorial (fast canoe/kayak/surf ski only) urban courses that flow past a unique mix of riverfront sites.
