Celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Kelleys Island Navy, when a flotilla of 200 boats from Kelleys Island protested the state’s plan to take over the island to create a resort. 

Events include a blessing of the fleet, flag retreat ceremony and greasy gostra, where competitors will run along a greased pole to try to capture a flag. 

Businesses island-wide will host events, including a beer relay, military equipment display and kids bootcamp games.
