The National Museum of the Great Lakes introduces “History Happy Hour,” focusing first on the women of the Great Lakes.

The event includes information on Native American poet Jane Schoolcraft, early 19th century Great Lakes captain Grace Waite and only female Great Lakes Gold Life Saving Medal Awardee Jean Colby.
Visitors can roam through the museum and hear stories of daring rescues, dangerous shipwrecks, and most of all, trailblazing women.
