THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS.

The National Museum of the Great Lakes introduces “History Happy Hour,” focusing first on the women of the Great Lakes.

The first Happy Hour, called The Women who Made the Great Lakes, will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on March 12. The event includes information on Native American poet Jane Schoolcraft, early 19th century Great Lakes captain Grace Waite and only female Great Lakes Gold Life Saving Medal Awardee Jean Colby.

Visitors can roam through the museum and hear stories of daring rescues, dangerous shipwrecks, and most of all, trailblazing women.

Tickets are $25, and include drinks, snacks and open access to the museum after-hours with interactive story-telling. Click here to buy tickets.
