Burning River Lighted Boat Parade

June 22 @ 9:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Free

Decorate your boats and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the last Cuyahoga River fire with a boat parade from Whiskey Island to Merwin’s Wharf.

There will be prizes for each of three vessel size classes (20-30 feet, 30-40 feet, and more than 40 feet). Judging will be based on uniqueness, attention to sub-theme, and overall presentation. Winners will be announced by VHF Radio at the end of Parade and notified by the email address provided.

All vessels will be under the direction of the parade marshal, in cooperation with the commander for safety boats. Boat should monitor VHF Channel 16 for emergencies and Channel 73 for parade coordination information.

Meet for an informational lunch meeting at noon Saturday, June 15, at Olde River Yacht Club to answer questions and review the parade plan.

On June 22, parade vessels will meet at 8:30 p.m. at Cleveland Inner Harbor (41,29.976’N 081,43.525’W) for roll-call and formation.

9:30 p.m. Parade commences

11 p.m. Parade completes
