Small craft warning: Lake Erie marine forecast Nov. 22-24

The end of November, and few mariners have their boats in Lake Erie. But just in case you’re holding out for a traditional Thanksgiving Crib-bean cruise, know that there’s a small craft warning until 7 p.m. Thursday.

Here’s the full National Weather Service marine forecast, from Avon Point to Willowick.

Friday: West-northwest wind 21 to 26 knots decreasing to 12 to 17 knots. A slight chance of showers before 7 a.m. Waves 8 feet subsiding to 4 feet. High of 42.

Friday night: Northwest wind around 8 knots becoming southwest after midnight. Mostly cloudy. Waves 3 feet subsiding to 1 foot. Low of 35.

Saturday: South-southwest wind 5 to 7 knots becoming variable and less than 5 knots in the afternoon. A chance of rain after 1 p.m. Waves around 1 foot. High of 45.

Saturday night: Variable winds less than 5 knots becoming west-northwest 7 to 12 knots in the evening. A chance of rain, mainly before 1 a.m. Waves 1 foot or less, building to 3 feet. Low of 35.

Sunday: West wind around 13 knots. Mostly cloudy. Waves around 3 feet. High of 44.
