Halfway into September, and our weekends still feel like summer. Lots of wind to accompany the warm weather and sunshine, though Sunday includes a chance of rain.

Here’s the National Weather Service marine forecast, from Avon Point to Willowick.

Friday: South wind 8 to 10 knots becoming west in the afternoon. Mostly sunny. Waves around 1 foot. High of 78.

Friday night: South wind 5 to 8 knots. Partly cloudy. Waves around 1 foot. Low of 70.

Saturday: West wind around 8 knots. Mostly sunny. Waves around 1 foot. High of 82.

Saturday night: South wind 7 to 11 knots. Partly cloudy. Waves around 1 foot. Low of 71.

Sunday: South-southwest wind 14 to 16 knots, with gusts as high as 22 knots. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Waves around 2 feet. High of 80.

Sunday night: Southwest wind around 13 knots, with gusts as high as 20 knots. Showers likely. Waves around 2 feet. Low of 69.
