Too cool to swim: Lake Erie marine forecast May 10-12

You might get your boat in the water this weekend, but the weather won’t be warm enough to swim. We won’t top the low 50s on land or water. But at least Saturday will be sunny.

The water temperature off Toledo is 54 degrees, off Cleveland 50 and off Erie 46.

Friday: West wind 14 to 16 knots. A chance of showers, mainly before noon. Waves 3 to 4 feet. High of 56.

Friday night: West-northwest wind 5 to 10 knots becoming north-northwest after midnight. Partly cloudy. Waves 3 feet subsiding to 1 foot. Low of 44.

Saturday: Northeast wind 6 to 8 knots. Mostly sunny. Waves around 1 foot. High of 51.

Saturday night: East-northeast wind 8 to 11 knots. A chance of showers after midnight. Waves 1 to 2 feet. Low of 46.

Sunday: East-northeast wind 10 to 12 knots. A chance of showers. Waves around 2 feet. High of 52.
