If you’re launching your boat at a Cleveland Metroparks ramp this summer, you need to buy a pass.
The passes are good for any Metroparks boat ramp, through December 2019.
The passes will be available online soon. Meanwhile, you can buy annual passes for $30 at Edgewater Beach House, East 55th Street Marina and Wildwood Marina, all of which are open. You can also buy them at Emerald Necklace Marina when it opens May 12 and Edgewater Pier (open weekends in May then daily after Memorial Day).
Senior passes cost $25, and out of county passes cost $35.
Paddleboards, kayaks and canoes — anything that doesn’t require a trailer — remain free.
Daily passes will be available for $5 (payable by credit card only) once machines are installed in mid- to late-May. Enforcement will begin once the daily passes are sold.
