CLEVELAND, Ohio — Kelleys Island is coming to the Progressive Cleveland Boat Show.

While Put-in-Bay has always been celebrated at the annual mid-winter rendezvous, Kelleys Island Sunday Funday is a first. As is a Main Street area lined with Kelleys favorite shops.
Sunday will feature favorite Kelleys performers, such as The Distractions and Steve Brownell, as well as island establishments’ favorite drinks, including Brandy Alexanders from the Village Pump, Little Beers from Dockers Waterfront Bar and lemonade from Peeper’s.
“It’s mostly a get-together. Our summer friends go and see each other, look at the boats and … have a couple beers,” said Tina Callari, owner of Chicklet’s Closet and president of the Kelleys chamber of commerce. “It’s something we all look forward to every year.”
This year, Callari is selling her wares for the first time. She has trucked inventory on the ferry and onto the mainland, to get set up at the IX Center.
Here are the other Kelleys staples to visit at the Boat Show, which runs Jan. 17-21.
The restaurant will showcase its 2019 entertainment schedule, new menu and apparel line. The owner and a few bartenders will be on hand, and they’ll accept photos of military personnel to showcase on their wall of honor.
The watering hole will have its drinks, of course, as well as popular Pump T-shirts, mugs and more.
The Village Peddler will feature Patagonia, Mustang Survival Wear, Pendleton and more.
“We look forward to a great 2019 season for all of KI!” said owners Gary and Jackie Finger.
The builder will promote contracting, consulting, building and landscaping at the show.
The company works with Missy Magoo’s Candy and Gift Shop to sell custom upcycled furniture and accessories, which will be for sale at the show, said owner Scott Stevenson.
Owners Bob and Jennifer Parry will network with boat owners and brokers and offer docking specials and highlight fun Kelleys events, such as the Cops and Bobbers fishing tournament and the Make-a-Wish Swim and Party.
Missy Magoo merchandise will be sold, and there will be information on summer workshops to teach how to transform drab furniture into one-of-a-kind treasures.
