The 340-foot long Marquette & Bessemer No. 2 is lost somewhere in Lake Ere.

The Marquette & Bessemer No. 2, a railroad car ferry that chugged daily between Conneaut and Port Stanley, Ontario, sank in a storm in December 1909.

The captain and crew of 35 died in the wreck. And the boat was never found.
