Put-in-Bay is the prettiest town in Ohio, according to Architectural Digest.

“Located five miles offshore on South Bass Island in Lake Erie, Put-in-Bay is a recreational paradise come summer,” writes the magazine.

Put-in-Bay is in good company, with towns on the list such as Cape May, New Jersey, and Ithaca, New York. (Ithica is gorges, after all.)

It’s an apple pie slice of Americana, with family cottages strewn with beach towels and a downtown decked with docks.

But is it the prettiest town in Ohio?

Lakeside Chautauqua made Coastal Living magazine’s list of the 10 Best Little Towns on the Great Lakes. Marblehead Village is adorable, too. And those are just on Lake Erie.
