Cooler by the lake: Lake Erie marine forecast May 31-June 3

Great Lakes aerial view May 31, 2018. (NOAA)

After a week of hot sun, the weekend on Lake Erie looks cooler, with some chances of rain Friday and Sunday.

But if you’re free Saturday, that’s your day. Expect a pretty decent, and very welcome, cooldown from the upper 70s Friday to the cool upper 60s on Saturday. Some sun will help it feel warmer, with breezy winds and 3-foot waves.

If Saturday alone isn’t enough time out on the lake, and you’re eyeing Monday – go for it. Following Sunday’s rain, Monday will dry out again to just partly cloudy conditions. Winds will be breezy, and waves around 2 to 3 feet.
