Don’t you wish it were this easy to rent a boat on Lake Erie? (Laura Johnston)

Where can you rent a boat on Lake Erie?

While jet skis and kayaks are plentiful, it’s harder than you’d think to find a powerboat to rent on Ohio’s North Coast.

Here are a few spots you can rent a speed boat for an afternoon, or longer.

Generally, you must be 18 or 21 years old to rent a boat. According to Ohio state law, if you were born after 1982, you must have a boater’s license. The rental companies generally offer the test and temporary licenses.

In most cases, you can make boat reservations online.

We collected information on available rentals and costs, though they may change for the 2018 season.
